The assistant coach is responsible for conducting the program while developing departmental and University policy. Duties include coaching, recruiting, scheduling, purchasing of equipment, monitoring of student-athlete’s academic progress and compliance with NCAA and Southern conference rules and regulations.


Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university and prior coaching experience are required. Master’s degree, Division I coaching and/or playing and recruiting experience are highly desirable. Goalkeeper training experience is also desirable. Experience with and knowledge of NCAA rules required. Strong desire to promote men’s soccer to the general public is essential. The candidate must demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills and be able to work effectively with staff, faculty, and other members of the campus and community.

Selection of the final candidate is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
