The Mercer Engineering Research Center (MERC), an operating unit of Mercer University, is located in Warner Robins, GA. MERC is dedicated to providing high quality engineering, scientific, and technical support services under contract to both government and private industry customers.

MERC has an immediate opening for a Senior Program Administrator in the Contracts Division.
Duties of the position include:
-Composing internal and external correspondence of moderate complexity.
-Responsible for contract deliverables to include transmission and maintaining deliverables requirements in the Management Information System (MIS).
-Maintaining purchase orders and respective invoices for subcontracts, and subcontract deliverables in the MIS.
-Providing support for internal program reviews to include generating minutes.
-Maintaining configuration management for both hardcopy and electronic contractual and financial documents.
-Assisting with the closeout of contracts.
-Performing property audits and assisting in the maintenance of property records.


Required Qualifications:
-U.S. Citizenship is required.
-Successful candidates must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a DoD security clearance.
-Requires an advanced business degree and three years related experience including two years in program administration; or an undergraduate business degree and six years related experience including two years in program administration; or no degree and nine years related experience including two years in program administration.
-Requires high degree of proficiency and knowledge of personal computers. Demonstrated knowledge in the use of Microsoft OFFICEâ„¢, to include advanced proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
-Must have experience with the Internet and demonstrate the ability to extract information pertinent to performing assigned duties, as required.
-Must possess exceptional interpersonal and public relations skills, have demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, experience in exercising independent judgment in handling difficult and sensitive issues and the ability to project professionalism reflective of a highly visible administrative office. Good use of the English language and good writing skills required.

Desired Qualifications:
-Previous experience working with the Department of Defense and/or government contracts.
