The College of Health Professions at Mercer University invites applications for a part-time faculty member (0.5 FTE) for its Clinical Medical Psychology Doctoral Programs (Psy.D and Ph.D). This is a non-tenure track position in a progressive and innovative department that emphasizes a biopsychosocial, integrative approach to health care and interaction with our partner programs (Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant Studies, and Public Health) in the College and others in the Mercer Health Sciences Center.

Responsibilities include doctoral student classroom instruction and evaluation, small group instruction in clinical skills labs associated with courses and with community supervised practica, advisement of students, admissions and accreditation activities, committee involvement, and scholarly activities that include production of publications, grant writing, presentations, and collaborative projects. The successful candidate must be able to work in a collegial and collaborative atmosphere.


Qualifications include a degree from an APA-accredited Ph.D. or Psy.D. Clinical Psychology Program and an APA accredited internship, experience in interdisciplinary health care, and license-eligibility in the state of Georgia. Prior experience teaching and supervising graduate students is desirable. Preference will be given to individuals with clinical and research expertise in one or more of the following areas: neuropsychology, health psychology, pediatric psychology, or geropsychology.
