The successful applicant will teach six undergraduate courses per academic year in art history survey and upper division specialty courses (both western and non-western art history) and will serve as director of the Frances Sewell Plunkett Seminar in the Decorative Arts (biennial). The successful candidate will have a clear commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and scholarly activity. Advising, and departmental and university service are also expected.

Anticipated start date is August 1, 2018.

A doctoral degree in art history or related field from an accredited college/university by start of appointment is required. Candidates with experience in any of the following areas will be given special consideration: study abroad, interdisciplinary teaching, and undergraduate research. Excellence in teaching and scholarly activity is also expected.
