The College of Health Professions at Mercer University invites applications for a full-time faculty member for the Physician Assistant (PA) Program. This is a non-tenure track Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor position. Join a progressive and innovative physician assistant program that emphasizes patient centered care, evidence-based medicine, and critical thinking application.

Principle responsibilities include performing classroom and laboratory instruction and evaluation; facilitating student small group instruction; participating in the advisement of students; admissions activities; ARC-PA accreditation maintenance; committee involvement; and participating in scholarly activities to include publications, grants, presentations, creative projects, and collaborative projects. The successful candidate must be able to work in a collegial and collaborative atmosphere.


A graduate of an accredited master’s degree physician assistant program with a current NCCPA certification and eligibility for licensure in Georgia or a graduate of an accredited medical school with current licensure as an allopathic or osteopathic physician in Georgia and certified by an ABMS- or AOA-approved specialty board. Clinical experience as a practicing PA, DO, or MD. Teaching experience preferred.
